For months we lived in the apartment. She would go back to get my son on certain weekends and then it'd be just us. Life was great. And then it got better. On October 9th, we tied the knot. In Colorado, up in the mountains, we said our vows and professed our love to each other in front of our friends and family. It was a beautiful ceremony. Cold and wind, but beautiful. The night before the wedding my brother and I got into a fight and my wife was very upset about it. So without my knowledge she broke the age old rule of not seeing each other before. But she looked magnificent. Now she wasn't in her dress, but her hair and makeup were done and she looked fantastic. The purple shaw she had wrapped around her shoulders definitely made the red lipstick she had on stand out. It was amazing to finally say "I do". To say that she was mine, till the end of forever.
We went back had out first Christmas together as a married couple and it was great. She is my best friends and I love spending time with her. Now, it is only march but I love coming home to her everyday. And in times like this where certain things are unsure, I know she will support me. I know she loves me. And even though I am far away, I can tell you that I love her more know that I ever have. She is the most amazing woman I have ever met. The most amazing woman I will ever know. An angel. Absence makes the heart grow fonder? I'd say so.
